BOSS Multigrade Arctic Low Pour Hydraulic Oil

Performance Specifications

These premium high viscosity hydraulic oils, recently enhanced with an improved base oil, provide superior hydraulic response at both the high and very low ambient temperatures. Blended with paraffinic base oils and formulated with an effective VI improver to provide an exceptionally high viscosity index. Oxidation and foam inhibited and excellent rust, corrosion and wear protection to provide long service life. The high dielectric strength meets the requirement for cherry pickers.

APPLICATIONS

  • Industrial, mobile, and marine hydraulic systems (up to 3,000 psi and above with proper equipment).

  • Hydraulic control systems for machine tools and presses.

  • Moderately loaded industrial gear sets that do not require an extreme pressure gear lubricant.

  • Airline lubricant for air tools and other air-actuated equipment.

  • Mobile construction equipment

  • Cherry pickers

  • Hydraulic elevators, hoists, and lifts

  • Denison HF -1, HF-2, HF-0

  • Rexroth

  • Cincinnati Milacron P 68, P 69, P 70

  • Racine, variable volume vane pump

  • Vickers I-286-S, M-2950-S

PROPERTIES

  • Excellent rust and corrosion protection.

  • Excellent water separating characteristics to minimize emulsions.

  • Retains excellent filterability if contaminated by a small amount of water.

  • High dielectric strength meets the requirements for cherry pickers.

  • High viscosity index provides excellent hydraulic response at both high and very low ambient temperatures.

  • Oxidation inhibited to prevent oil thickening and provide long service life.

  • Foam inhibited to prevent pump cavitation.

  • Outstanding wear protection for critical system components.

  • Thermal stability minimizes sludge deposits and viscosity increases due to oxidation.
