BOSS Lubricants is a grassroots Canadian company founded in Calgary, Alberta by our CEO Murray Flegel.

We own and operate 12 branch/warehouse/storage/distribution locations across Canada, and reach customers from Victoria, BC to Charlottetown, PEI, as well as north to Whitehorse, Yukon. Our dedicated fleet of trucks delivers bulk and packaged products safely and in a timely fashion.

Our History in Canada

In 1992, Murray J. Flegel founded Arlyn Enterprises Ltd. in Calgary, Alberta—which now trades under the name BOSS Lubricants.

BOSS is an acronym for Bulk Oil Sales and Service, and is a symbol of Canadian pride and industry leadership.

 

Murray earned his expertise over 37 years of combined experience working for Texaco Canada Ltd. and Canadian Turbo Inc. Two years into the business, Murray brought W.K. (Bill) Dickson on as an equal partner. Another two years following their partnership, Murray and Bill made a strategic acquisition of a similar-sized competitor and, with a focus on efficiency, moved their combined operations to an upgraded facility.

BOSS Lubricants is still headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. We manufacture and supply premium engine and transmission lubricants, natural gas engine and compressor oils, grease, glycols and similar products in over 400 varieties. BOSS Lubricants is committed to providing quality products and outstanding service to industrial and commercial businesses throughout Canada and the northwestern United States. We work with independent distributors throughout our service area and have branches in Vancouver, Edmonton, Red Deer, Plamondon, Lethbridge, Saskatoon, Regina, Brandon, and Toronto.
