A big Winnipeg win for BOSS Lubricants

BOSS acquires Winnipeg-based Elite Oil, looks forward to serving agriculture, mining sectors

CALGARY, Canada (April 1, 2026)—For its role in connecting the country, Manitoba is known as Canada’s Keystone Province.

Consider this another critical market unlocked for BOSS Lubricants.

Canada’s fastest growing lubricant manufacturer and wholesaler for the past three decades, BOSS announced today that it has purchased Winnipeg’s Elite Oil—a longtime BOSS distributor that will now become an even bigger lynchpin in our nationwide network.

BOSS currently operates a branch location in Brandon, Manitoba, just over 200 kilometres to the west.

“This acquisition truly solidifies our strength in Western Canada,” notes BOSS Lubricants President and Chief Operating Officer Jarrett Flegel, adding that Elite Oil owner and founder Shayne Taylor “is looking forward to joining our team, and continuing to grow with BOSS resources behind him.”

As a turnkey acquisition, the headquarters of Elite Oil, at Winnipeg’s 190 Transport Road, will effectively become the 14th branch location on the cross-Canada BOSS map.

Manitoba is home to 30 of Canada’s 34 critical minerals, including lithium, graphite and copper.

“In addition to serving the agriculture in the southern part of the province, we look forward to expanding our coverage in northern Manitoba, where the mining industry is a going concern,” adds Flegel.

“We’re pleased to add Shayne and his team to our BOSS family. Elite has always prided itself on exceptional service, and that’s the heart of our BOSS business model as well.”
