At your service: The BOSS Lube Advisor is now online and available

With myriad categories and a powerful search engine, new digital tool is ‘a big time-saver all around’

CALGARY, Canada (Oct. 9, 2025)—Pssssst. Want a little helpful advice?

Check out the all-new BOSS Lubricants Advisor.

Eight months in the making, our BOSS Lube Advisor tool was recently launched, and is now online and available.

From automotive to agriculture, from mining to construction to forestry, the BOSS Lube Advisor helps customers in all sectors that we serve to find the BOSS product they need quickly and easily—oils, lubricants, greases, glycols, you name it.

“It’s a big time-saver all around, especially for our customers,” says Jarrett Flegel, President and Chief Operating Officer of BOSS Lubricants, the fastest growing lubricant manufacturer and wholesaler in Canada for the past three-plus decades.

“Say you run a repair shop and the car’s on the hoist. What kind of oil should be in this thing? There’s no manual in the glove box. Where can I go to look this up? To the BOSS Lube Advisor,” he adds.

“This tool tells me exactly what type of oil it needs, and how much. It saves the customer calling one of our branches, the time it takes getting a hold of the rep, and possibly needing to talk to our technical department too.”

With literally thousands of categories loaded up into a powerful search engine, the BOSS Lube Advisor allows customers to search by make-and-model or one of five categories (cars and SUVs, light commercial/pickups, trucks/buses, agricultural equipment or construction/mining/materials handling equipment).

After a quick dive, the tool offers recommendations from among the 800+ products BOSS offers—more than half of which we manufacture ourselves.

The project was led by Ray Buan, BOSS Lubricants’ Manager of Strategic Alliances, in partnership with Olyslager, the world’s leading supplier in providing data for the lubricant industry.

“Everyone at BOSS is excited about it. It’s a great branding initiative, and it positions us with the big industry players,” says Flegel. “It aligns with our customers’ expectations, and it’s well worth the investment. We just felt it was time.”

Access the BOSS Lube Advisor via the BOSS website, or directly—in English or in French.
